What's my favorite thing to do? Clean with Thieves Cleaner! OK I'm kidding, but I do enjoy it a little too much and I am totally OK with that.
Thieves Cleaner. Why so much love for something that cleans dirt, spills and toilets? Because ever since the second I started learning about how toxic the traditional store bought commercial cleaners were, even green cleaners (shock, sigh, sad face), ...which I knew from all the eye burning, holding my breath, coughing fits I got when I used them.... still, I felt defeated. Like great, now what??
When I had my first son, 11 years ago, I did a huge inventory of all things harmful. Corners, drawers, outlets, cleaners. Turns out... every single cleaner I had was toxic! Ahhh!! So I started researching less harmful cleaners. Natural cleaners.
Baking Soda
Vinegar
Lemon Juice
Tea Tree Essential Oil
And I began making my own cleaners. This worked well except I was never really all that confident in their cleaning abilities. That and every time people came over they would say my house smelled like their Grandmas.
Awesome. Just what I was going for in my mid 20's.
